Why is my toothbrush not charging?

i have checked everything from-the plug being switched on, making sure the handle is on the right way, the docking unit being hot or cold. everything!

  • Forgot to put some one needs to call watchdog maybe that will make oral b wake up and smell the coffee on there rubbish toothbrush as not one staff here gives a rubbish about it looking at how they post back.

    I paid more to get a different model-this is my 4th brush since Oct-I can't believe Braun do not respond to all these problems.

    My Oral-B PC600 Limited Edition Power Toothbrush - Pink won't charge. It charged fine the first time, then when it flashed red I put it on charge (been on for almost 24 hours now) and is continually flashing green as if it is still charging. When I try to use it it still has no charge and flashes red. Any ideas?

  • I have an oral b toothbrush which is 18 months old and has stopped charging. I don't know how long the warranty lasts for this item - am I eligible for a repair or replacement without charge?

    I got a Trizone 1000 for xmas and the first few times i charged it the charger worked ok but this weekend the charger would not work.

    My mum has an oral b toothbrush which is a different model and different style charger and when i used this the toothbrush charged ok so there appears to be a fault with the charger what do i need to do?

    why are your trickle chargers for type 3756 toothbrushes so poorly made? i've had four brushes in three years and all the chargers fail really quickly, just recently had the type 3756 charger fail after 5-7 months really disenchanted with the poor quality of your trickle chargers

  • I've had 3 Oral B Professional Care 600 Toothbrushes and 1 Oral B Vitality Brush - all purchased in the last 6 months and all of the chargers have failed. The most recent one has managed to survive just 10 weeks! It's going back to Argos tomorrow morning! Before that I had a Braun Brush for well over 5 years with no problem. Also, my Wife's Bruan is still going strong after some 4 years. I've always associated the brand of Braun with quality, like all German products in general, but this has really changed my mind! What's going on ..........outsourcing production to China????

    I have read there seems to be a problem with brushes from Argos and amazon bought around Christmas 2011 which is when I got mine. I have now gone through 3 chargers!!

  • Oh no, how frustrating!

    I’ve had a look into this for you, and there wasn’t a problem with any toothbrushes around that time. If you’re concerned it might be an idea to speak to Argos to make sure there wasn’t a problem on their side.

    From what you’ve described it sounds like there might be a problem with the handle, and this is something the technicians at out Service Centre would need to look at. I’ve merged this with another post which should give you all the information you need.

  • Thank you Heather for taking the time to respond to my post.

    Whilst I take your comments, I doubt it is a problem with the handle because in this case, and in each of the previous cases, transferring the brush to my Wife's brush charger immediately activates the flashing charge light on the brush.

    With each of the failed units, when new, the charge light flashed AOK until failure of the charger.

    I did send the initial 600 Professional Brush & Charger back to your Service Centre and they confirmed replacement of the charger. It is that brush I have fallen back on now.

    I have to say in all fairness that your service is excellent. The initial brush was purchased from Sainsburys in August and unfortunately as I had lost the receipt the store refused to deal with my problem. However, following an email to Braun I was told to return it to you as you would be able to identify the age of the brush.

    Due to Sainsburys refusal to help, and before I realised Braun could help, I purchased a second Professional 600 Brush.

    I will take the latest failure back to Argos tomorrow and just hope the one initially repaired by Braun does not go the same way. Given the previous failures and the similar posts on this site - forgive me for not being overly optimistic as it seems pretty clear that there is a current problem with failing chargers.
